A standardized way of displaying the distribution of data based on five main statistics: minimum, first quartile, median, third quartile and maximum. Accurate synthetic data should have quartiles and median close to the real ones. It can, however, differ in the minimum and maximum values if these values only rely on a few individuals. This is necessary in order to protect against membership inference.
