The steps for creating a new data catalog are very similar to starting a Ad hoc job. The key differences are that you cannot upload and store any datasets in a data catalog, and that MOSTLY AI will perform a full analysis of the connected data source before you can configure your data catalog.
To create a new data catalog, click on Data catalog in the left-hand main menu. You’ll see the screen below if there are no data catalogs present in the system.
Click on Create new catalog to start configuring your data catalog. The next steps will guide you with connecting a dataset to your data catalog, linking the subject table and linked table, and configuring the synthetization settings.
