In this video, we show you how to use the MOSTLY AI Synthetic Data SDK on the IBM Watson X platform to easily generate privacy-preserving synthetic data. We begin by creating a new notebook, setting up a Python environment, and installing the MOSTLY AI Synthetic Data SDK in local mode. The local mode allows the entire data generation process to run directly within the notebook kernel. We walk through the steps of training a data generator using public U.S. Census data from GitHub, and demonstrate how to monitor the job's progress as it trains the model. Once the generator is ready, we show how to generate synthetic data, probe for rows, and scale up the dataset to create larger volumes of synthetic data. This tutorial highlights the simplicity and flexibility of using the MOSTLY AI Synthetic Data SDK on the IBM Watson X platform.
